I believe when someone sells you something, and you've asked all the questions, that you should not be lied too.. And if so, and it happens to come back to them, as it should...,they should be banned from TFT forever, man I hate being lied to, now I have a huge task of QT all my fish cause of someone else's non-consideration for someone elses tank!!!!!!FML,,,,
Thx again!!!!

Well buddy in my opinion all of our tanks have it. It's just how healthy our fish are whether or not the fish show it. I had 2 fish with it in my last tank and did nothing. Just fed as normal with garlic added and it went away never seenit since. Introduce a new fish that's stressed out and it shows ich at times. Gets healthy and it goes away. I'm by no means an expert but do believe that all fish could carry it and you may never see it.

Ok. Ick sucks, but really not a big deal if your fish are healthy. It may have never shown signs of in whoever's tank it was in before

If it's a tang, then you really can't be too mad lol

Here is what I did.

Leave everything the same. Increase frequency of feelings. Feed nori every day. Feed em.

You can do the garlic thing or not. I'm not totally sold on it, but others swear by it.

My Achilles broke out with white spots within an hour of being in my tank. Went away the next day. Came back worse, and went away. Came back again, and went away in a few hours. Now nothing.

Unless you will never add another fish, coral, snail, algae or ANYTHING else to you tank again, then it's just a fact of life.

Relax and feed. Feed and relax. Anything that lives through it I'll be resistant to it going forward.

I hear yah; but I have been on both sides of this story. I have bought fish with Ich. I have also sold fish that did not have visible in my tank; yet by the time they got to the customers tank they were showing signs allready. Some fish seem to break out almost instantly from the stress of moving.

Same experience for me. Bought fish that looked perfect got them home acclimated and next day the new fish had spots. (one was a blue tang) notorious for ich for some reason. Just ignored it. I increased feeding a bit. Used garlic only because it seemed to gain a feeding response and eventually it was gone. FYI None of my other fish ever got ich just the new introduction. I'd be pissed I'f someone gave me a visible parasite like flatworms and didn't tell me. But realistically you can't see ich unless the it actually appears on the fish. Imo let mother nature take its course and don't disrupt everything in the tank or everything will be stressed.

Ya its in my tang, Randell damsel, and black clown now...Randell and tang added the same day, there was not a sign of ICK 3-4 ago, I have also never had any problems with fish before this, even with cycling a tank or even getting a fish completely stressed out, never!!!, call me a newb to fish desease, but I guess I'd rather stay a newb than deal with pest problems, my fault I guess I should of QT to begin with....

Ick is a touchy subject for anyone. Sorry to hear that it has come out in your tank. Some people never even know it is in their tank but it is in most if not all tanks. There are some lengthy discussions on here about Ick. It is almost impossible to keep it out unless you QT and copper dose everything that you bring in and/or fresh water dip.

I just caught my last fish today to put them into a QT tank. Picked up a powder blue tang about a month ago, started showing signs of it a week after. Started feeding garlic to no avail. All the fish had it before I started transferring them out. So now all the fish are in the QT tank to get cleaned up.
