Still reading nitrites

I am still seeing nitrites in my system and 5 ppm nitrates. This has remained like this over the last week/week 1/2. I have read a few things online about not worrying about the nitrites. Is this normal during the diatom bloom? I have now added chemipure elite and purigen.

Will test  tonight as I do each night.

If your tank is properly cycle your bacteria should take care of everything and be producing nitrates, your nitrites should and drop to gradually nothing
