when I bought the tank it was a complete system for 2500 thought great that's I will have to spwnd since that was already enough money but one year later got approx. 10000 into it added a generator and central air to the house (for the wifes comfort and safety) and all the add ons they add up fast but best hobby I have had

For me thus far the worst part is thinking your getting a deal until you get slammed with duty.

My Kessil lights were a sweet deal until they passed through customs and I got slammed hard. Ended up not saving a $.01 over buying local once I factored in exchange and duty.

I did however get a Vertex skimmer from JL on a Boxing Week sale for a sick price. I guess that makes up for it

2 Kessil A350 - $700ish

Eheim pump $200
BRS RODI $200
BRS Dual reactor $60

I have been slowly piecing this together for a year. Otherwise my wife would lose her mind looking at the CC bill.

I just need to grab some Jebao RW-8 powerheads, plumbing parts, overflow box made, and build the stand.

My skimmer is an MRC-3 rated for around 500g. It came with a submersible pump. I got that deal for 280. That's probably the best deal I got. I found a pair of iwaki 55 RLT pumps for 285 delivered. Just a few short days now!
