Torch Coral Fragging

So I just fragged my torch, cut down the center of the calcified skeleton base to separate two heads, question is though, anyone know if the skeleton will grow back or will it remain thin from the way I cut it?

Will remain thin unless you get more small heads popping out through the skeleton and growing into branches.
