Hey everyone,

I'm a relatively new to salt water, coral, marine fish, etc.  I have a BioCube 14 Gallon and it's doing extremely well.... soo well that many of the corals I have in it are growing like weeds.  At the moment I have the following:

Duncan Coral - about 20 heads and growing at a rapid rate
Frogspawn - two huge heads and another 8-10 heads or so popping up and growing
Toadstool leather that is wayyyyyyy too big now.
two small "somethings" haha I have no idea what their called - I think it starts with an R?
Tube fanny thingy in the sand (haha, are you gathering how advanced my knowledge is?)

I have two clowns, 4 hermits, 2 turbos and a Nassarius Snail

Heres a video of the tank :)

I'm happy with the tank, I am... but I want to go in a different direction.  I really like the idea of having SPS and LPS corals.  I also really like the look of tanks that have LEDs, which help the colourful corals POP.

A few days ago I planned on upgrading to a 29 gallon tank, so I could get more coral... but that is simply a band aid solution.  What I really want is a Red Sea Max 250, which I cannot get until we move into a new house (our current house simply doesn't have the space for RSM250).  So that's about 2 years out.  Soo, I've decided to keep my BioCube 14 and upgrade the lighting instead!  (until I get the RSM250 of course :))

I'm thinking of putting in 2 Ecoxotic Panorama Pro LED strips in my hood and ditch the PC lighting.  This will save the energy bill, and give me the look I'm after... and allow me to have the SPS, etc I want to make the transition into.  I need to sell my toadstool to free up some space and make room for this new direction I'm about to take.  Move the frogspawn and duncan around too.... sounds like fun!  8)

I've been up and down about moving up to the 29 gallon BioCube... but it just isn't the right move.  My 14 gallon is kicking butt, and with a light upgrade I can dabble in SPS and in a few years, and then get what I really want - the RSM250 once we move.

I'm done rammbling now haha -  ::)  Thanks for listening  ;)

Colin

PS - does anyone locally carry the Ecoxotic product lines?  The only dealers I see are in BC and PQ... none in Ontario?
