Hey all,

Thanks again for all your responses to my questions.

I've been debating on buying an R/O system to supply my own water for my changes, but I'm not confident they will provide as good of quality as where I get my water from currently.

Wondering what peoples thoughts are on using their own filtered R/O DI water or purchasing it?

That's what I've been thinking too I
Systems I've been looking at are around $350 but I've seen a handful around $250.  I've just questioned how efficient they are..

My life is 100 times easier with a system. No more remembering to pick some up or running around town. You can test your own system and always know what you are getting. It is a needed upgrade for any reefer.

Imo making your own water is almost a necessity. Since buying my RODI system, I have already made the money back, just by not having to buy water. I can guarentee the water quality as well. Most water stores dont even have a tds meter. They also dont run DI. Culligan water for instance is tap water run thru a carbon filter and thats about it.

Take a look at www.bulkreefsupply.com or www.reefwater.net

FYI we do run a DI system on our RO and our TDS is 0 it is a must for the store and the water we sell. But yes water from most other stores that provide water like wine making stores do not.  I can't vouch for other aquarium stores what their policy is on water just know we sell O-TDS water.
Cheers
