Re: Question of The Day - July 2

I don't know if it's the best way but I added my sand to the aquarium before I filled the it then let the water trickle in to help reduce the cloudiness.

If the tank is already established maybe it would work to have the sand in some sort of cloth bag to allow it to get very wet in the aquarium before you open the bag and distribute it around the tank.  It may have to be done in small quantities.

Best is before the water is added but other wise a long pvc pipe 1\" or more and a funnel.

rinse it well and do this route ^^^ easiest way

I'm glad you took my idea to heart and started a question of the day post!!! :).

Personally I just add the sand, make my rock work and then add the water, within a couple of days the tank should be settled  8)

Nope. Rinse it well in RO water and use the PVC pipe method to avoid cloudiness. The only thing you may notice is another diatom bloom. It will starve itself out in short order though. A CUC will help speed this up as well.
