This is the coralvue/bubbleblaster website.  It talks about upgrading skimmer pumps on their old skimmer and adapters you can buy.  I says you need an adapter, I would email coralvue just to make sure you get what you need.

Coralvue is awesome to deal with as well. They will definitely help get you everything you need. I had issues with my first bubble blaster pump and they shipped one out the next day. No questions asked.

    Sorry to hear it, especially so, since I have the same skimmer. If you end up buying a BubbleBlaster replacement pump, I'd be really interested in hearing how it turns out.
I think I'll be OK with the NWB-150 for now, as I have a really lightly stocked tank, but
at some point in the not to distant future, I'll have the same problem.

    I've been thinking about it for a while and I'll probably go with the 2000. You get the same 1000l/hr air flow with only 60% of the water flow-hopefully a drier foam than the OTP-2000.

      I was originally going to replace the OTP-2000 with the OTP-1000 and I asked Mathieu at goreef to see if it was compatible with NWB-150. He got in contact with tech guy at CoralVue and he said that the fittings were a different size and even if I modded it to fit the skimmer, the pump would burn out pretty quickly.

    I'm hopefully going to be getting a bunch of frags this month, so it will probably be the end of next month before I can get the 2000, but before I order it, I,ll ask Mathiue to run it by the tech at CoralVue, just to be sure.

P.S. I've been running this skimmer for about 2 1/2 months, and I am slowly coming to the opinion, that as it stands, it is a piece of junk. I was originally thinking that the reason it performed so poorly was because I have a very small bio-load, but I'm starting to think that is a very long way from being the main issue.

    The Bubble Blaster HY-2000 Pump draws 960 L/H, whereas the OTP-2000 only draws 420L/H. My bad.

Close to 1000 L/H of draw is what you should be trying to obtain with a tank that size. I think upgrading the unit with the BB 2000 is definitely a good solid option without completely purchasing a new skimmer...

    The Bubble Blaster HY2000S pump is the way to go. Jeremy at CoralVue said that
what I would be doing is essentially turning the NWB-150 into a SRO Int2000(to paraphrase), which as he stated in the email, is a top of the line skimmer.
The body of the the NWB-150 skimmer is the same as the SRO Int2000.

      So, for a hundred bucks more than the SRO Int2000 retail price of $385, we now have a SRO Int2000.($230 + 227 + 25)
