why is there gel/vasaline on my wp40?

i got my second wp40 in today, open it up out of the box and there is a gel/lube/oil all over the propeller and the propeller shaft
any one else have this?
i didnt take apart my first wp40 when i got it and its been running solid for months now.
i dont like sticking things in my tank if i dont know what they are...
any insite is welcome

no, i bought it new from fish street,
did some research, found others with this as well, they just wiped it off and moved on...

i want to know why its there in the first place lol

Didn't notice anything on mine either. The prop was dry, I rinsed under the tap to wash off any remnants of the bird flu and dropped it in my rank.

I am not sure what calling fish-street would do, they probably just take them off a skid and throw them in a box. Most likely have no idea what they are themselves. May want to email Jabeo, from what I have heard their customer service is not up to par, but maybe you will get an answer sooner rather then later.

Haha should have double checked and made sure that  there wasn't any fish flu on there either.

And it's running fine ,
