I have a pair of platinum clown taken out of my dt last night. I used to have an anemone in their, but they never host it. It took me 30min. to catch them and later put them in this breeding thing for fish with a nem in it. I think it will work( well that why I am doing this lol). Do you think this will work?

I think that you've got a good shot with this method.
Andrew the SW fish dude at Dragon Aquarium uses this process to match up clowns with nems.
The theory is that with the limited space, the clowns and nem are "forced" to love each other
Kinda like an arranged marriage ! :p
Good luck !

I had one for months that would go nowhere near the nem. Wife thought I was crazy standing beside the tank with iPad showing a video of clown hosting in a bubbletip.
Took about 5 times through the video over a weekend and the clown swam right over and lived in the bubbletip for many months. Until it was eaten by the nem (nem spit the skeleton out few days later).
I think your process of getting them confined will work as well. Plus neighbors won't think you're crazy.

That is how I was told to put mine. Don't let them out in a hurry. I did and the fish swam away never to return

Lolz I can't wait, will try to release it later (just because I can catch them back easy)

It should work as it works in most cases but unfortunately not always. I find that specialty clowns like that have a reduced instinct to naturally go into the nems. I think all the line breeding for color traits and specialty patters reduces this natural instinct. If you put them in a limited space together they should imprint onto the host nem. I would not move them back into the DT before two weeks or a little more though just in case. If you do move them to soon you risk a non permanent link and they go back to the way they were.

Oh I am not moving them, not yet anyway. I plan to get a yellow eyes Kole tang, 1 wrasse and keep this two clown in my 75g frag tank. Though some fish poo would be good for the corals:)

I like specialty clowns they look nice. But they have breeding problems because to get those specific traits you have to inbreed them so it causes genetic defects. I have a tomato clown that is over 20 years old and she still breeds. I have not seen a specialty clown last even a fraction of that. :'(

BAM!!! Just like that

I let it out of the container last night find this happen in the morning, to think this two use to sleep under a power head lol:D:D:D

It took only one day lady and gentlemen (please don't try this at home, environment might play a role in this as I don't have any other fish in the tank. However I have like 20 anemone) priceless moment for me lol

Well it's really not fair you have Kevin Tran Nems. Every body knows they are guaranteed to host clowns ;)
