I've never had one nip hard enough to even leave a mark or do more than make a coral close up for a few seconds.

same, I have 2 pygmy angels, neither are flames but, they pick at everything in my tank, it looks like to go for the corals but they haven't done any damage at all, makes me think they are just going for copepods in and around the corals.
