I noticed today that my Blue Mushroom Coral has started opening and closing repeatedly. It is also extending its 'foot' on the liverock base. It seems like it is opening and closing almost like a step to get over the obstacles, but not really sure. Yesterday and earlier today it was laid out beautifully across the rock. The baby one that was attached to the rock seems fine and is already looking bigger. Any thoughts on the opening and closing? Or am I just being paranoid?

ooo, good thinking there lewis844. For once I did not take any pics. Basically the edges folded up into 3 points like if you take the 4 corners of a blanket together. It has not done it again today, but I moved it last night. It opened up fully again today and has stayed open all day. It is still very soft to touch and active in the tank. Well for as active as a mushroom is. Everything seems OK today, but will post if I have anything more.

I agree with Salty. It's probably just feeding or adjusting to your tank. Mine also sometimes close at night or if there pissed off.
Now I do not feel so bad. Seems to be pretty happy for the most part. Been looking nice and healthy still. Thanks again rick for it.
