A couple questions a newb needs help with.....
should my 30 gal display tank have any substrate under the live rock? -i have crushed coral (large peices and shells) light spinkle doesn't cover entire bottom.
should i cycle my tank with at least some live rock?- i cleaned and converted brackish tank into full sea water.
what mixture and depth of substrate should i use in my 10 gal (side-by-side) refugeium? - i have 1/2" to 3/4" of FINE granular sand ( sugar sand i believe) mixded with the same grade of crushed coral in the diplay tank.
if anyone has any advice id appreciate it.
