Just quick note on some Carbon I tried that is new to me.

REEF-SPEC™ CARBON
Highly activated carbon for marine and reef aquariums

I must say I am impressed, very little dust to wash away nice small granular size and the filter bag that is included is very nice. I added the Carbon and over night can see quite the difference, I placed it in my sump, after the first compartment where it flows into the second so it is being used in a passive way. It seems to to work as well as ROX .8 but the difference being one is designed for the Lab and is a very aggressive Carbon, this has been picked strictly for a Reef tank environment. Now you can take that as you may, but I must admit I prefer this Carbon as the size is easier to deal with and its cleaner. The other point is, it does come from a company that has been around longer then some that are reading this and tend not shovel the BS. IMO two thumbs up worth giving it a try.
I will also have to try it in a reactor and see the on it does.
