Sorry for the terrible pic but does anyone know what this is on my wall? A clown keeps running himself against it? It's like a clear stringy grouping... Thanks!

I bought them from someone. They came with the tank. I've had it for about 8 months. From what I'm researching they sure do appear to be clown eggs! NOW WHAT?? Lol novice here!

Unless you already have food cultures of phytoplankton and zooplankton established it is not very likely you can raise them. The fry go through platonic stages that need almost microscopic food and great water quality. Rodifiers are 105- 160 micrometers so are very small and a good food source till they are big enough for newly hatched brine shrimp. You will need to enrich the rodifiers with HUFA and essential fatty acids like omega 3 and 6. So you will also have to raise green water like Nannochloropsis oculata microalgae as a food source for the rodifiers. Some people have success with commercially prepared foods. Raising fry are not like freshwater and require a large amount of time and effort. If you are interested look for a book called clownfish by Joyce D. Wilkerson. Or check online for clown fish breeding.

How long have they been there, the eggs are usually orange for about a week before turning silver.

I had been out of town for a couple days and I really just noticed them. They're kind of tucked away in a back corner so they could have been there for a while

On a positive note if they are breeding it means they are getting what they need and then some. So keep it up.

Is the one clown bigger then the other? The male is usually smaller and should tend the eggs. If it is not clown eggs they would just eat them.
