Looks like a pretty interesting product, allows plumbing grade white pvc, to be sleeved to look like a variety of furniture grade pvc colors and probably abit cheaper in total on the 10 foot length.

That same site also sells furniture grade colored pvc and fittings but would probably cost substantially more in terms of materials and shipping.

Any chance you could give an approximate cost breakdown vs. Colored pvc? I'd estimate 80 bucks cad for 30 ft vs approx 120 for colored pvc? Close?

Amazon.ca sells them i got 1" red pvc for like $8 each but you have to keep checking price changes all the time

Colored PVC they sell is "furniture grade" and NOT tested/rated for plumbing use. That said, pressure under typical under the aquarium sump isn't an issue but a keen insurance adjuster will void your claim using an unapproved product IF there is an issue.

No colored PVC is pressure rated. But with that being said, the pressure in an aquarium will never exceed the strength of pvc piping.The piping from Reef PVC is as strong as, if not stronger than your regular sch.40 pvc Pipe. The only problem you could possibly run into is if you don’t prime and glue your piping together correctly in which case an insurance company wouldn’t cover you even if you did use pressure rated PVC pipe
