I want to take my frags off the plugs, can I put them on dry rock pieces then glue them to live rock in my tank?

Yes, you can do that. I have at times taken and glued the plug where I want it the glue rock rubble around it to hide the plug. IMHO it is less stressful on the coral doing it this way.

Wish I could take the credit for the idea but it wasn't really my idea. I heard it from a more experienced reef keeper than myself. I just liked the idea and wanted to pass it along.

I use a Diamond Coated Hole Saw bit and drill into a small piece of rubble then place the frag into it and glue the rubble on the rock.
