One of these will be a reef/salty setup the other freshwater planted I’m leaning towards. I think the dual overflow 500 I’ll make salty

Little update on tank 1. The inside of the stand was sanded and painted as was the outside. Changed the color to black and I’m very happy with it. The sump could not fit so I had to remove one of the end panels. The drain plumbing is complete but I only have 3” of clearance between the 75g sump and the tank which makes it a pain.

Well, I really couldn’t help it. Finished off my dream by buying a second identical tank as this one. So I got 2 500 gallon tanks 8x2x4’ tall. I’ll be picking it up sometime in April as he is out of the country until then. Damn I’m excited
And I thought I was nuts...

Now that you have two, are you going to plumb them together with a big acrylic tube so the fish can swim back and forth?

Nope I’ve seen tanks like that before and I think they are the most unsightly thing. One of these tanks will be fresh one will be salt most likely
