Cutting Tank

bough a tank I would like to use for a frag tank. I like the length and width but would like it shorter. anyone every try and cut a tank in half?

Yup, just take it all apart first, clean the panes , the cut them , the put it back together

Yup, dissassemble, cut and reassemble, but how thick is the glass and also depends on if it is tempered or not. May want to consult a pro if cutting thicker glass.

in my experience anything under a 1/4" thick as long as its not tempered you can score a line and snap it but if over 1/4" your forking out the $ for a pro to cut it with a diamond blade which isnt too bad considering a low vibration saw and diamond blade will run you 3 grand lol
