Diy Biocube 29 Algae Scrubber

I have been thinking about doing this for a little while. I found this link with a bit of an explanation...

The question I have, what would I use to cut a nice slit in the Center with rounded ends like in the picture... I have a router and a jig saw. I thought using a hole saw on each end then using the jig saw to connect the dots.. Won't be pretty but will work. Not sure if regular bits will work on acrylic tho..

As long as bits are sharp you should have no problem. Heat is your only worry.
