30 gallon tank up and running for 6 months.  This started about a month ago.  Starting to cover a lot of rock.  I think the parameters are all good.  Have tried frequent water changes to get rid of it but, no luck.  What is it and how can I get rid of it?  Thank you!

It's slime algae.  You have excess phosphates and/or contaminants from tapwater.

If you are using RO/DI water with a TDS output of 0, then phosphate would be your culprit, likely from overstocking, overfeeding, etc.

The magic cure is GFO in a canister reactor.

Very common pest, that and hair algae.  Many will also ask what you are using to test your parameters, with salifert, red sea and hanna being some of the more trusted tests.

Check and check. Throw those API test kits out

ditto.

You have an issue with phosphates, get some GFO and do some regular water changes with RODI water and you will be on your way
