Float Switches For Reefkeeper /auto Top Off

As most of you know Digital aquatics went out of business A while ago, so you are unable to buy the float switches that they use to offer for an autotop off or level sensor. I picked up a reef keeper for my frag system and didn't want to have to buy an auto top off for it when the reef keeper has the potential to do what i needed. Here are some links for the parts i used.

Pins for the connectors that plug into the sl1 unit on reefkeeper - https://www.mouser.ca/ProductDetail/Molex/43031-0007?qs=/ha2pyFadujuB%2BdwYMLbM5cyvjXnevrSGfy5REtnxTU=

The float switches -https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01EZGSVZK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Wire 22awg - https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B074386X3V/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Auto shutoff valve - https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07Z2TBZK3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And here are the float switches assembled, i used old powerhead magnets and glued 2 pieces of 1/2 pvc to them drilled holes for the float switches and tightened them up. ( I had to move one float switch up and over some away from the magnet as it was effecting the one switch and closing the circuit .I used 1/2 pvc because the inside diameter of it was the same size and the nut that screws to the float switch therefore i wouldn't have to use a wrench to hold the nut just have to watch the wires don't get all twisted up when tightening. Also note that the floats on the float switch can be taken off and reversed if need be depending on the use. Also the floats are wired in series .

That's the plan for tomorrow, I have an older laptop for such a purpose. I have two usb devices, I think the version 1 and 2.

I had to move one of the switches further up and out a bit as the magnet was effecting it.
