Been meaning to do this for a while, finally transferred some of the photos from my phone to my PC so now is a good time as any. this isn't my first tank, been doing this for 20 years however this tank is now almost 2 years old.

First few are building the stand....

next few are deciding where to put it. all my previous tanks had been in wall tanks so I went with that again. there is a perfect spot behind my bar in the basement that gives me an entire room that's about 14x14 to use as my fish room. View attachment 9775

fun....of course there was a pipe in the way for the central vac, had to reroute that and all the wiring in the wall. replaced the drywall with water resistant drywall, the blue stuff :)

a few corals next, somewhere around the 90-120 day mark I cannot remember. wasn't for long though because my anemone ended up in the Gyre and killed everything in the tank except the clown fish of course...

my next disaster came when I lowered my LED's by 1 1/2". It ended up nuking my corals and started off what was one helluva algae battle at about the 1 year mark

but I bought more....and invested in a little Disaster Recovery my own frag tank using a hydroponics flood table. I took a piece of everything I had and fragged it, growing it out for the next time I do something dumb

needed a better water change station, I got tired of hoses even though I have a laundry sink in the fish room. this setup made it SOOO much easier

and that brings us a bit closer to today, tank is two in February not including the two nukings I did to it. happy with the progress and wondering what else I am going to replace next. I think light upgrades :)
