welcome! I am also in Guelph (Kortright & Scottsdale) and have a 72 gallon set up thats a few months old and a 10 gallon nano reef. Can't wait to see pictures of your set ups and maybe go check them out in person.

Well, not much to show yet, but here's a couple of shots.
Just put all my cured rock in, started my skimmer up and put a small t5 fixture on till I build my LEDS.

Lol! Good memory! I remember that gigantic star! I was actually looking for one on Friday at Living Aquarium in Cambridge. Ended up with a dozen welk snails and a gold head goby.

Me personally, I wouldn't bother with them or you need a very large system with a very healthy sand bed. They look cool but they'll clean up your pods before you know it, then they'll die. There are other stars that are better suited for a Reef. But Welcome to a great board. The guys here are the best and you won't have to deal with AJ. Sometimes it gets a bit heated but we really do get along most times.

Lol, that's a huge plus! The goby seems to be doing a great job along with the snails. My sand was looking pretty brown and 2 days in everything has been turned over. Not polished yet, but it'll get there. Where r u located now?

I live in North Bay, My wife and I are both working and we have lots of family up here, only down side is there are no local saltwater places. Let that Goby do his job, only bad thing about those Gobies is they have a tendancy to pick up the sand then go for a swim and drop it on everything. but they will clean it up for you.
