I chose not to because we don't plan on staying in our current house permanently and I didn't want to deal with having to fix a plumbing line after I move out or leaving the RO unit threw and buying another for the new house.
Just need to run a 12" straight line off a tee. Stick a shut off valve, then the 1/4" fitting. When you move, shut it off, remove ro unit, and done
