Hi everybody what causes this

Hi went to clean my media reactor and skimmer and I noticed this on both my skimmer and media reactor what do you think caused it only thing I can think of is the heater thanks

I do use hot water But they are plastic I would think that would be it would it It is a bubble magus skimmer and a lifeguard aquatics media reactor

going from hot to cold will crack them like that (hot on one side, cold on the other).. dishwashers will do that..

This happened to my NYOS skimmer cup, not to that extent but the same “internal” cracking. It never touched hot water. It’s a manufacturing flaw.
