Got any photos of the bulkhead and PVC? Might have some tools and PVC at work to remove it and fix it uplooks like it has a couple small cracks, acrylic cement will fix it np... and i have 2 of the air vacuum pumps you need for it,, you only need 1.the bulkhead in the bottom has a 90* elbow right away and has 5" of 1" pvc pipe that cant be removed $30

Not to mention peace of mind that if the siphon drops out you arent flooding the floor.You could always buy a ghost overflow, lower the tank water a bit and then drill. Food for thought. Ghost overflows are great because the leave all the real estate on the tank bottom for rock, coral, etc..
