Found this quote in one of my old fish mags, while sitting on the throne, and found it universally appropriate to some of the hobbyists I've met over the years.....Including myself ???

Taken from Julian Sprung's Reef Notes, May 1994.

"It has become clear to me through my contact with so many aquarists at club lectures that there is a common psychological trait shared by many reef aquarists that could be summed up with this description: Perpetual Dissatisfaction.

It seems that there is always something that could be better about one's aqaurium. A reef aquarist visits the home of a fellow aquarist and notices how well his reef aquarium is doing, and immediately feels that his own reef aquarium somehow does'nt measure up.  the other aquarist feels the same way when he visits the first guy's home.  Each tries to figure out what magic potion or new gadget the other one employs.....".

Almost 20 yrs old, but still relevant today!
