Ok guys, so I found a good deal on 100lbs of live rock and I was wondering how I can keep it before my tank is setup with salt and everything?

I have a tank on order but haven't heard if its in yet, apparently was on back order!

Anyways I have a 30 gallon tall tank downstairs, was wondering if I just hooked up my filter and mixed some salt water it would be ok till the other tank came in?

Thanks!

u should be ok just putting it in your tank, with saltwater, a heater, and a powerhead.  just be sure to top off the water regularly.
whats the tank you have on order??

You will probably only need 25-35lbs of rock in a 29g bio cube (depending on how full you want it to look). Keep in mind that corals will eventually take up space and sometimes come with rock attached.

Keeping the rock in your other tank will be fine but you might have a hard time fitting in all 100lbs. Make sure the rock stays submerged, throw in a heater, power-head and check the salinity of the water.

I've used Rubbermaid totes in the past.
