Let's play name that snail!

I found this little guy on a coral I bought today.  I believe it's a cowrie.  I know some cowries are not reef safe but I can't find one that looks like this one.  Anyone know what kind it is?  It's currently floating in a breeder trap in case it turns out to be a pest.

He is really neat looking!  He has a hard shell, and then the spotted part with little spikes is part of his mantle that extends over the shell.  When it's completely extended his whole shell looks spotted.

That's what I was thinking. So are they snails or mullosks. Lol either way that's one cool ass looking creature.

Unfortunately it seems they feed on soft corals....aka pretty much my entire tank.  To the sump he goes!
