Well I've washed it and starting plumbing mock up taking my time to make future additions. All i can say is wow to the amount of room a ghost overflow make. My old 180 had corner ones that takes up so much real estate and limits rock configuration.

I also decided on 1" bulkhead for return and straight out with a 45 at end. Didn't want to use the lock cause would have to reduce to 3/4 and plan on MP40's for flow. Hope my thinking is right.

Well I was able to get most of the return plumbing done just have to get the 1/2" ball valve for pellet reactor. I mounted 5/8" unistrut to frame to secure plumbing. Honeydo list now, I have to get parts anyway.

That Apex orange really does look nice.

Your set up is going to be envied by many. It is absolutely amazing so far and to me you have made all the right decisions on this tank design.

Ok so I already have an upgrade for my system next year. I'm an electrician/automation specialist and my plan is to take my system off grid. My plan is to get a turbine/solar setup. The combination will charge a bank of batteries then to an inverter. I will also wire in a transfer swith if the system fails or needs maintenance. Or a combination of both. Now I can use the Apex to monitor my power needs and calculate the size of system. Now to research available products and start a budget and figure payoff.
