Hey all, new to the forum and the hobby. Started cycling a new tank a week ago, everything seems to be going on schedule according to videos I've seen. Started with dry rock and sand. Hoping to start adding livestock and coral in 4-5 weeks

Thank you. Here are pics and info on the first week. Days 1-3, dead shrimp, no testing. Day 4, dead shrimp(New), ghost feeding-Ammonia 2.0, Nitrite 0.25, Nitrate 20ppm. Day 5, dead shrimp(same one), ghost feeding-Ammonia 4.0, Nitrite 0.50, Nitrate 20ppm. Day 6, dead shrimp(Same one), ghost feeding-Ammonia 8.0, Nitrite 1.0, Nitrate 20ppm. Day 7, no shrimp, ghost feeding-Ammonia 8.0, Nitrite 2.0, Nitrate 10ppm. Re-arranged the rock, liked it better this way. How does it look so far

Throwing a piece of live rock in there will speed it up a little

I thought about the live rock, to speed up and to bring some nice coralline algae, just worried about hitchhikers
