Odd 'shroom

A while ago I picked up a Paly frag from the bargain bin because on the side of the rock there was what looked like a tiny (smaller than a pencil eraser) Rhodactis baby with a bright gold rim. It has been growing nicely for a bit but even now the entire thing is growing tight to the rock. I have plenty of types of 'shrooms of all varieties but have never had one grow like this. I have worked a probe around the edges and it is tightly attached other than the fringe at this point. Does anyone else have something similar? if so how did it grow out once it was full sized? It is still small but I have Rhodactis that are half the size that have distinct stems and disks.

Looks to be a Ultra Rhodactis, it also looks as if it were in the starting process of splitting

No question, but either this thing is growing an oversized base so it can be huge or it just isn't going to bother growing a disk! It's about 1.5" across the long way and looks like a big flatworm not a mushroom...LOL

Beautiful mushroom. My purple tongan mushrooms grow exactly like this, not much of a stem at all on them. They spread out like that then they split. It looks like it is splitting into 3. Mine do this all the time, and the more crowded they get the faster they grow and split. Sweet grab for 5$!

Yup that what Rhodactid do, nothing unusual just a happy mushroom
