Makes me want to sell off all my livestock and start with an Achilles Tang...and a large Copperband.

Lol. He's awesome. And off the clip and grinds away at what little algae I do have.

Funny thing - I put some nori on a rock and guess who destroyed it... My sargassum trigger. Insatiable

I started on the cabinet doors today. I used my kreg jig to put these door faces together. I'll be putting an oak backing on them. There are 7 doors in total plus the canopy face.

If I had a planer life would definitely be easier with these. They just aren't the same size boards so I'll need to sand them to even them up. Glad I have a couple weeks vacation lol

Ahh!! Today I got this from Santa.

It's my brand new SKIMMER!!

Took me a few minutes to put it together. Jeff included everything needed for assembly, including all the tubing clamps and fittings. Even thread tape!

I hooked it up in another 5 minutes and we are LIVE BABY!!!

It's the Lifereef 36" external with the 8" collection cup and the mazzei Venturi.

BEASTMODE BEGIN

The skimmer is just bubbling away. A bit of mess in the cup already. I guess feeding a new skimmer less tank is ok for a week or 2! The build quality is awesome on this skimmer.

I've added a couple of rough sps corals from the frag tank to see how they do.

Here are the 2 side cabinet doors! I used birch for the middle sections and just varathaned the whole assembly.

Look pretty darn good! This is the third of 5 coats. It's still wet so it looks kinda glossy
