replacing brace

anyone do this with glass ? i dont wanna warp acrylic under my 250 mh

my bow-front has a shatty, huge shadow under the black center brace and I hate it.

I re-braced my 135 with glass, but mine is not a bow front, check out my tank build in "members tanks" under "our first reef 135g"
It's been installed for a couple of months now and no issues
