Seachem Matrix

I have about 4L of seachem matrix that was in my sump from the tank i just sold. It has been sitting in a pail since monday. I want to use it for my new setup in a canister filter. Do I need to do anything to it first (ie. Rinse with tap or wc water), or will it be ok as is?
