about 5% truth and the rest is wackiness.  Before you start spewing things such as the information can be used in a court of law to prove you were home during a time of murder....you better back that up with real life event and case.

This guy is nuts....Im surprised he is not wearing an aluminum hat.

i agree this goes a little off course but facts are they can monitor every detail of our general habits by the time and use of electricty, like when you getup,go to bed, come home ,i dont buy they can tell individual devices in general but there is a lot of info in our daily routines that is recorded im sure

lol agreed.

really though....who cares if they can see what time power consumption increases and what time it decreases. No way they can tell what device is drawing what power. If it was as bad as hes saying...most of us would have been raided for suspision of running a grow op.

I think that guy used to like to 'bootleg energy off the grid'.

Why do these paranoid freaks think that anyone cares what we do in our homes? Unless my neighbours wife is masturbating to Swedish midget porn, I couldn't care less what they're doing behind closed doors.  I assume the government thinks pretty much the same way.  Guard your bank accounts and your credit cards, lock your door at night and buy yourself a dog, and stop worrying.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be off to my seat by the telescope... long live the midget swedes!

Last year my wife and I paid $121,000 (yes $121K) in tax.  That doesn't count tax on purchases, that's just income tax.  As soon as the kids are out of school we are moving to lago vista Texas, where there is no state tax, and they have never heard of excise tax on booze.  Instead of crying about it, we're just up and leaving.  Screw 300% tax on beer, screw snow and hello semi automatic firearms and fully fenced, truly 'private' residences.  ;D

Just looked at my bill.  $355.  Only $219 was actual usage (and a lot of that is higher than last year thanks to that awesome smart meter).  How is a 60% tax/levy/penalty/whatever even legal?  Why aren't we all up in arms about this.

Just had to vent.  I don't mind paying my fair share, but 60% tax (as I feel it is), doesn't sit right at all.

weird.  I spoke with a few people in london and all told me they are still being charged the two tiers. Might be a location by location roll out but i know they were SUPPOSED to have the entire city on the system in May 2010.

My last bill had 2 prices (over a certain usage and under).  This one shows 4 distinctly different prices.
