I know this photo is aweful but it's the very best I can do as this thing is in an awkward spot at the back of the tank. I know it's harmless as it's been there for years, I'm really just curious as to what it is. It has 2 openings (indicated by the arrows). It began growing in a dark shady spot a long time ago and has recently grown tall enough to see from the front of the tank and started branching. There are actually 2 in the tank but the other is very well hidden behind some rock. All in all I would say it is almost 6" tall now, the part you are seeing is about half. No idea what it feels like, I've never touched it as I'm afraid to break it.
As I said I'm really just curious if anyone knows for sure what it is, I think it's pretty cool.
