Hey Justin, It's called STN and its no fun. It can be caused from lack of light or to much nutrient. What is your PO4 and NO3 ? Also can you give us your alkalinity, calcium and magnesium numbers...also please tell us what you are using to test all these. Any swings in any of the above mentioned lately?
