Tds Question

Just set up my RODI system, made some modifications/upgrades to a 5 stage BRS unit.
Installed the dual membrane to boost from 75gpd to 150gpd, and added another DI canister.

Anyways my question is.....should I be concerned that even though my in line tds meter reads 0ppm... when I test with a handheld tds meter it reads 5ppm?

Agree.
I ended up using a shot glass. Rinsed it several times with RODI, filled and tested it that way.
Mine came up 0ppm that way.

What I do is run the water directly into a 30 gl tank, mix my salt for 24 hours with heat then pump it to the tank for water changes. So I'd say no if the inline reads 0 then 0 it is.

Thanks everyone, yes I assume the barrel used for storage is slightly contaminated (was used for mixing saltwater by previous owner).
Was more concerned if I should use the water if it is 5ppm......

The Black brute Rubbermaid are bad for contaminants. I had that problem and switched to the blue Rubbermaid for my RO water and it solved that problem.
