Vertex Skimmer Pump Died

I've had my Vertex in sump 180 skimmer for 4 years on my 135 gallon tank. Tonight the pump died.
I plan on upgrading to a 180 or 210 gallon tank soon.
I was thinking of replacing the pump on this skimmer with a bubble blaster 3000 to improve its function to accommodate the increased water volume. Has anyone here ever done this?
Or should I bite the bullet and just get a new skimmer....

you will have a hard time attaching the bb pump to your skimmer.
i think you would be better off buying a new skimmer.
by the time you buy the pump, and spend x amount of dollars trying to figure out how to get it to work with your skimmer body, and the headaches involved,
better off new skimmer
