What's this Stoney called

Kind of looks like "blue ridge" Heliopora Coerulea, which is an octocoral. I'm assuming it has a hard skeleton?

Hard as rock and bright green when I got the piece about 18 months ago.

Bright green is the inside of the coral when I cut a piece off.
