I just got back from a wonderful beach vacation at Dreams La Romana in the dominican republic. I didn't expect much in the way of snorkeling but I was very pleasantly surprised at the variety of sea life. The highlight for me was seeing wild squid. Here's a video of the two out of the four that I saw. Make sure to switch the quality to HD so you can really see them  :).

Nope, squid.  Specifically this kind: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caribbean_reef_squid. I looked up what species live in the area, and pictures matched what I saw.  Interesting fact though... squid and cuttlefish look the same from the outside.  The differentiation is inside, where the cuttlefish has a bony structure down it's center (the cuttle bones that sometimes get fed to birds) and squid have a membrane structure.
