xenia melting

my xenia is dissapearing. It looks either melted or eaten. Not sure which.
Its purple xenia and silver pulsing.
Maybe water quality is too good for it.
I dont know what would eat it.
Any suggestions.

Mine has done this in the past... as water quality improved, it melted away.  I'd had a 1/2" miniature spot of it left for almost a year.  Doesn't grow or anything.

The pulsing white xenia was the first, its pretty much all gone

I have this problem zoas the bigger palys do fine. Just the smaller ones dont last in my tank

I used to have a lot of the Pom Pom Xenia but now that I run much lower nutrients in the water column I just have a little patch that grows soooooo slow lol....
One of these days I'm gonna have to snuff it out again...

xenia dont like clean water, if you really want to keep xenia with thriving sps it is going to be difficult, maybe play with your nutrients and use less carbon and gfo
