Hey all. My bowtie zoas haven't been opening the past few weeks. There seems to be a growth on them that I tried to pick off but no luck. The crabs haven't touched it. My other zoas are doing great. Any suggestions what to do?

Almost 48h post dip and this is how they look. I did a 2m30s dip in 4 part tank water and 1 part 3% hydrogen peroxide. Any ideas what to do now?

Make sure they are somewhere with moderate flow and leave them alone for several days. Mine took almost a week to change.
Some never opened, some did.

The big things you want to look out for if something is irritating it, whether thats algae or pests. Is it getting too much or too little light, bleaching vs reaching usually helps identify that, and size usually matches your nutrient levels, if they are shrinking they are probably hungry. Keep your alk stable and you will not be able to kill them.

I did a coral dip, salinity it is 1.025 and did a stronger peroxide dip with no luck. The zoas are on the bottom of the tank with my rastas which are doing great.

I just noticed a tiny aptasia growing beside them so I gave it a vinegar injection.
