When I got these they were supposed to be Sunrise Sakura (not that I care much, I like them) but as they grow they lose most of their yellow. I don't want to misrepresent what I have, so let me know...do they look like the ones you have or something else.

I'm fine with them being a no name too, just want to get it right.

Try a google of "Pineapple Express" , regardless of what Google says don't try to smoke them. Are they more similar to that brand?

They do kinda resemble Pineapple Express.... They don't look like any version of Sakura sunrise or sunrise Sakura I've seen....this is why I asked for the origin from Poseidon.

Actually got them at Fragfest. they were very small and all yellow in the center but as they grew the yellow stayed the same size???

That looks a lot closer Jerry but there seems to be quite a bit of variation in what people call Pineapple Express...Typical...

Btw Jerry, The ones I described to you and you suggested Alpha Omega was dead on I think.

Ben, now that summer is over and I have some time, I'll send you a pic of that odd blue and black encruster that might be a similar species to your orange/red one from FAL... I hadn't forgotten...

Those are common pink/yellow zoas that seems to have had their colors shocked a bit. In time, their colors will return. A few have named those zoas "Pink Flamingos". Pink Flamingos, Sakura Sunrise, and Pineapple Express are three commonly mistaken zoas due to their likeliness.

Mine are looking better today. And now i can actually look down with a plexiglass viewer and see them from the top. They look closer to your's now. I would say they are sunny D's.

Guys, just an FYI... Do not use zoanthids.com or Neptune's cove as a main source of reference... It's fine if you need a point of reference but always double check with coralpedia and google images or with licensed divers that harvest the reef for sale such as Jason Fox or "Tyree"

Soon you'll find that zoanthids.com and neptune's cove are big name coral shops that just throws fancy names because either they are too lazy to find the name out themselves or they just want to make quicl cash on unknown corals.
