I liked using the epoxy sticks from brs or bean bag frags.
They hold, but if you want to move It it's not too hard to take off

Dollar store gel type super glue. The liquid stuff is too runny and won't stay in place long enough to hold (Or at the very least is hard)

Don't waste your money on buying the expensive stuff from Ecotech Marine.

Get the single use tubes too, that way there is less waste. I always found that my ecotech marine bottle would clog and I would end up throwing away huge dried up hunks each time I wanted to use it cause the top half would dry up and harden. These are nice when you are only doing a few frags at a time. Now if you are constantly using the glue like say a store would be then, this wouldn't apply. This is more for the casual fragger.

Cyanoacrylate is the ingredient that you are looking for, any product with anything else in it should be avoided. Luckily cyanoacrylate is a very common instant glue.

I use and will only ever use ecotech glue. Largest bottle possible, never put the lid on and have never had it dry out. I hated and still hate dollar stores single use as when I wanted glue there never was any there.

CA glue aka cyanacrylate glues are simply crazy glue. I have tons of experience using it. Companies take CA glue gel rebrand it as coral glue then charge a premium.

8 Oz of thick CA glue. This is what I use. It's 19.99 and in Ontario next day shipping.
They also have thin and medium grades which is like your standard crazy glue.
I used this company when I used to have a business making exotic wood handwriting instruments.
I'd love to see if this guy would do a group buy for us all. It's no different than ecotech coral glue. And much much cheaper. When you look at the msds sheet for both company's the ingredients are exactly the same. ( Cyanacrylate & Poly(methyl methacrylate aka acrylic )

Both dollar store gel crazy glue and epoxy. I buy the normal tubes and have not had problems with it plugging up. I don't mind taking off the small cone tip though and spreading straight from the tube. Put glue on the coral/frag, then a gob of the epoxy, then a dollop of glue, and then press and hold in place. If you can scuff up the spot you are placing it, even better. My epoxy of choice is the IO stuff. http://www.instantocean.com/Product...ories/holdfast-aquarium-epoxy-glue-stick.aspx

This is the method I use too. Results in a rock solid mount, which corals love and encrust over easily.

We'll talk when you come over....

However my $.02 as a fairly prolific 'fragger':
-The dollar store stuff is seriously hit and miss. I've had tubes 3/4 empty, and gel tubes that were liquid...there's a reason they're being sold at the dollar store.
-BRS brand glue is same thing, it's either runny or gel.
-Ecotech glue...always consistent, however I did get one $$$ bottle to dry up, but it was from "he who shall not be named" and it could have been 15 years old. I buy the smaller bottles and have never had one clog up (superglue actually uses water to start the curing process....keep water away from it as much as possible).
-Gorrila superglue gel... same as ecotech, works well.

Epoxy: A MUST. Make a smooth transition from the coral to the plug and the coral will encrust much more easily. Form the shape then use crazy glue to make sure the coral and the frag are attached.

i talked to the manager at dollarama and they ordered me a case works out to 60cents per small gel tube and can easily get 6-10 frags glued per tube

That is where I get mine from. I grab up most their stock when it comes in. Although, I have started using the Ca glue that comes in the Ecotech Prop kit and I really like that glue.
