Well did my regular w/c and decided to clean my jabeo's
wow I didn't realize how much power they had lost. Adding cleaning jadeo's to a monthly schedule.

I though I was the only one. From my experience these things SUCK when they get a little dirty. I had no power on my wp25. Thought something was wrong took it apart and wiped off a very very fine layer of slime from magnet and put it back together and it's good as new. Problem is I'm doing it weekly. If I don't the flow plummets.

Added some new fish yesterday. Moorish idol, bluethroat trigger (appears to be male), sailfin tang, pearlscale butterfly, and dogface puffer. Going to try to leave things be and not add/change anything til new year. Easier said than done!

Jeff how big is your setup? I don't want to be preaching just a word of caution adding that many fish especially a trigger and puffer all at once (messy eaters) will challenge your biological filter.
if I can make a suggestion ;) try doing 2 or 3 small water changes a week for the first month just to let the biological filtration catch up.

Never hesitate to throw out advice! I have a 150g, and have noticed my skimmer cup filling quicker and darker lately, but think it's "over the hill", and starting to normalize :)

Last night I ripped my DT apart and converted it to a bean animal. Started with a standard 75 reef ready. So I added 2 holes in the back glass and ran the return and dry emerge. Turned out awesome, so quiet it's amazing. Now I have to get my pumps quieter. Thanks to Jeff and everyone that help me make the decision and steve for helping to do it.

[ great that you have a good skimmer. But the tank will take a month or so to normalize.
If you can't do small wc - I would suggest some bottled bacteria.
Thank for the reply - always trying to be helpful :)

Let's see it :)
Always liked bubble corals - just wouldn't work in my setup tho.

Ordered in a smart ato with pump and kulk should be here friday.

Just downloaded aqualog thanks to this forum :)

Messed up this week with my cal I doubled my dose (did two cal instead of 1cal and 1 dkh)
my cal is @ 490.

Slowed down my aio bio-pellets - this has made a big difference for the positive. After 1 month of no wc with heavy feeding my no3 is 0 and p04 is .02.

I will be doing a wc this weekend (I have never gone this long)
