I am going to drill my tank for 1" bulkheads and do a Herbie overflow.

Where is the best place in London to get the plumbing pieces (HD, Lowes, Rona, other)?
- PVC
- gate valve
- ball valve
- unions
- various elbows and fittings.

+1 Best place for PVC is Plasco!!! Totally worth the 10 minute drive!!! There prices are reasonable and they carry all the spears valves including true union balls and gates, they also have a great selection of grey PVC fittings and pipe!!! The big box stores don't compare at all for selection!I even managed to get 90 degree slip spigot elbows from them which are great for keeping your plumbing low profile at the back if you have an external...

+20 on Plasco. I've been so frustrated with Lowe's. I have to change my plan with every visit I make there, to work around what's available. Out of the big box stores, they have the best/only selection of PVC fittings... but it is still quite limited. I ended up calling Plasco about the last couple of bits I needed and I wish I had done so MUCH sooner. They have quite literally everything we would ever need for this hobby. Including great holding tanks, I discovered. I plan on buying a couple of upright 100 gallon vertical tanks from them this spring to build a water change system.

Lowes or tsc. Tsc should have bulk heads. The only thing you won't find int stock at these places is a gate valve. Only carry ball valves
