Hey all,
I am a bit upset here!
Ok so here is my problem... as i am just now getting into corals on a pretty big scale, i have in the last month or so bought a boat load of them.all was has been good so far and but last night i noticed both my purple death zoas have been eaten ( the were on 2 different rocks even! )
I had all my frags in a rack on my DT and nothing bothered them until i did my aquascapeing. ONLY the purple death has been hit and i don't understand that.i am pretty sure I can rule out my percula clowns, pure purple basslet and hippo ( palette tang ).
So......here are my possible
suspects,
Foxface, picasso trigger( doubtful ), bird wrasses, possibly Naso?
I am thinking the foxface as i know they occasionally eat zoas. And regardless, why only the purples?
Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
SOMEONE NEEDS A TIME OUT IN THE OLE' SUMP!!!

oh crap, that is horrible... if its only the purple death is it a possibility that you have some kind of pest, did they come from the same place...hopefully someone with a lot of experience will chime in and help out...

If I were to guess, I would say the foxface only because they are grazers, that sucks tho...but there have been other members here that have commented that their tangs (hippo) had taken to eating zoa's, Torx had to get rid of one of his because of that...

I had a Picasso trigger that would toss and eat my candy cane corals no matter where i put them or how well I anchored them. My money's on the trigger.
